Get Out, Los Altos! March 11-14

Chamber music, a laser show and an art gallery reception with the artist are among the offerings in and around Los Altos this weekend.

It's Thursday, and the weekend is approaching. Spring is approaching—we know that because we get to "spring forward" and set our clocks ahead on Saturday night. We'll lose an hour, but there is still something left to to do on  the weekend!

Patch has done some research for you. Here are our suggestions for some of the coolest things to do in and around Los Altos this weekend. So go ahead and "Get Out!"

Where/When: , 655 Magdalena Ave. Sunday, 2:30 p.m.

Why Go: This is another opportunity to listen to chamber music played by some of the best, and you don't have to go far to do it. Offerings include  Martinu's Concerto for Two Violins.

Where/When: , 21250 Stevens Creek Blvd, Saturday 9 p.m. and 10 p.m.

Why Go: It's the next-to-last opportunity to see this season's laser shows at the De Anza College Planetarium. Two shows this Saturday: Laser U2 at 9 p.m. and Pink Floyd The Wall at 10 p.m.

Where/When: , 315 State St. Friday, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. 

Why Go: View the art and meet artist Karen White. And of course, sip a little wine. That's a perfect combination for a Friday evening.

Where/When: , 216 Main St., Friday, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Why Go: Check out the latest in home decor and enjoy some wine, champagne and small bites at the same time.

Pricing:  Free

 

Where /When: Gateway Facility, down the trail from the Pearson-Arastradero Preserve parking lot  / Saturday, 9:30 a.m.

Why Go: Help restore the preserve, get exercise and breathe fresh air for a few hours at Pearson-Arastradero Preserve!  From 9:30 am until 1:00 pm unless otherwise noted. No experience is necessary.
