Actor Ashton Kutcher Opens Macworld/iWorld Conference

The actor plays Steve Jobs in a new biopic that will be released in April.

Actor Ashton Kutcher has taken the stage this morning at the Macworld/iWorld conference in San Francisco.

Kutcher and fellow actor Josh Gad are opening the convention by sharing their experiences of playing Apple co-founders Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak in the upcoming feature film "jOBS." Kutcher drew crowds to south Los Altos for three days last summer while on-location shooting was taking place at Jobs' childhood home on Crist Drive.

The movie is set to be released in April.

The convention is continuing through Saturday at Moscone Center West at 800 Howard St.

Kutcher is also known for investing in various tech companies, including Spotify, Airbnb, Foursquare, Fab, Uber, Dwolla and Path, according to a bio provided by conference organizers.
