Your Time: Music, Dinner, Nature and Some Help with Your Gadgets

Lend your voice to a choral song fest or let your creative self emerge; try out belly dancing and join others for a casual dinner out; and help clean up a city park this week.

Why Go: Here's your chance to sing with the pros and be a participant in a classical music concert. You can sing along with choral singers from all over the Bay Area as they perform the Mozart Requiem and Brahms "Liebeslieder Waltzer (Set 1)." Vance George, conductor emeritus of the San Francisco Symphony Chorus is guest conductor. And no guess work for you; scores are provided.

Why Go: Let the creative you emerge in a nuturing environment. Join others at Firefly Willows as Annette Wagner guides you toward seeing what you can create through drawing, painting, collage, or other media. If you didn't think there was an artist in you, at this session, you may just prove yourself wrong!

Why Go: Explore a different dance form and try out the sensual moves of belly dancing. Europa is your teacher. She will show you her fusion style based on Egyptian style bellydancing. Belly dancing is much more than meets the eye -- it involves your mind and spirit as much as your body. Give it a try.

CORA'S  CASUAL DINING

Where/When: Opa!, 325 Main St., Wednesday, July 13, 5:30 p.m.

Why Go: If you've been curious about one of the hottest new restaurants in Los Altos, here's a chance to enjoy a meal out with your friends and make new ones at the same time. This is an ongoing activity organized by the Senior Center's Cora. She makes the reservation at a local restaurant. Call if you need a ride to this no-host dinner. RSVP by mid-day Monday requested, 650-947-2797.

Why Go: Redwood Grove is a favorite nature preserve within our community—a nice place to get away from it all, without going far. So help keep it that way by lending a hand with Saturday's project—removing invasive plants and replacing them with those more native to the area.
