It’s time to get organized for the annual Los Altos Hills Hoedown.
The community-wide event brings neighbors together for entertainment, arts and crafts and a Farmer’s Market.
Right now volunteers are asked to step forward to host a craft table or game, or donate wine or soft drinks. Contact Sarah Gualtieri at (650) 947-7518, or email firstname.lastname@example.org to volunteer.
Sign-ups are also needed for the Farmers Market where backyard gardeners are invited to set up a table to sell your locally grown fruits, flower, honey, vegetables, etc.
Hand pressed apple cider will be available with apples from DeMartini’s and press from Hidden Villa.
Ana’s Corn will have food available to purchase a lunch of your choice, to eat while sitting at quilt covered tables, listening to blue grass music for your enjoyment.
The event will also feature textile demonstrations, quilting, knitting, crocheting, spinning, weaving by Custom Handweavers, soap making, leather tooling by Silicon Valley Leathercraft Guild, puppet making, hand crank ice cream, popcorn, lemonade, and family oriented games and prizes.
There will be equine exhibitions featuring the 4-H riders, who will also host a bake sale, and the Pacific Ridge Pony Club.
The Hoedown is Sept. 7, 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. It will be held at Westwind Community Barn, 27210 Altamont Road, Los Altos Hills 94022.
