Patch List: Holiday Boutiques This Week

Bumble opens up for a one night boutique, and Foothill College has a plethora of crafts that support departments, bicycle path development, plus more.

The holiday boutiques have opened up this week. Most start Wednesday We've stayed local in Los Altos and Los Altos Hills, and offered three others—in Menlo Park and Sunnyvale—that raise money for good causes.

Holiday Crafts Fair: Wed. 2 to 6 p.m.; , 12345 S. El Monte Road, Los Altos Hills; Hearthside Lounge (room 2313). Get started on your holiday shopping with a unique gift produced by a Foothill-De Anza artisans/employees. Proceeds will benefit the bike path fund. 

Annual Student Holiday Pottery Sale: Now through Dec. 1 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. , 12345 S. El Monte Road in Cesar Chavez Plaza, adjacent to the Campus Center. Foothill College Ceramics Department and Claybodies Club will be selling handmade ceramic functional ware and sculpture that they have created in Foothill classes. Items for sale include bowls, vases, hand-built figures and more. Cash, checks or money orders accepted; purchases cannot be paid for with credit cards.

Foothill College Bookstore Annual Open House and Food Drive: Wednesday, Nov. 30, 1 to 5 p.m.; 12345 S. El Monte Road, Los Altos Hills. Great specials and refreshments will be served. 

Bumble Holiday Boutique: Wednesday, Nov. 30, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.  Cafe, 145 1st St., Los Altos; Eat, drink, holiday shop and get into the holiday shopping spirit...10% off all merchandise. Featuring Le Cirque's best sellers including BlaBla, Chew Beads, Beatrix, Little Giraffe and adorable holiday gifts! Open to the public.

Nearly New Shop annual Holiday Boutique: Now through Dec. 17, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays.  225 E. Maude Ave., Sunnyvale. 408-732-6202. Vintage Christmas decor and ornaments, linens, toys, glittery holiday clothing, puzzles, books, jewelry and china, plus "all kinds of surprises," as described by The Seasoned Collector, longtime antiques columnist Steven Wayne Yvaska. The volunteers are part of Philanthropic Educational Organization, or P.E.O., and proceeds go toward educational scholarships given to women living in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties. 

Finishing Touches Boutique: Friday-Saturday, Dec. 2-3, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., , 2825 Sand Hill Road, Menlo Park. The Junior League of Palo Alto-Mid-Peninsula puts on its fourth annual holiday home tour and boutique. The annual fundraiser has holiday gifts, accessories, jewelry, pastries, candies and more, all focusing on high quality local designers and vendors.

Christmas Market @Allied Arts Guild: Saturday, Dec. 3, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Allied Arts Guild, 75 Arbor Road , Menlo Park. Eleven shops, restaurant, music, gardens, prizes and more. The Guild's mission is to raise funds to support uncompensated care at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital. The Artisan Shop at Allied Arts is staffed entirely by our volunteers, and all our profits are donated to the hospital.
