What Critics Are Saying - So Far - About 'Our' Comedy! 'Silicon Valley' Airs Sunday on HBO

"Rarely has a show had to do so little to find so much to mock." -- Willa Paskin, Slate.

Silicon Valley, an HBO comedy that delves into the lives of six programmers trying to make it big in Silicon Valley, premieres Sunday April 6

The first season is eight episodes, and, so far, critics and reviewers are liking it.

  • Variety: "TV Review: ‘Silicon Valley’": "After a string of half-hours seemingly designed for niche tastes that sporadically merit the label 'comedy,' HBO has its most fully realized and potentially commercial player within that genre in some time thanks to “Silicon Valley.”

The show's creator, Mike Judge, of Office Space, King of the Hill and Beavis and Butthead, graduated from UCSD with a degree in physics and did, in fact, live and work in Silicon Valley in the 1980s.

Filming for the pilot of Silicon Valley reportedly started in March 2013 in Palo Alto.
