Why go: This is an annual event and one that has a ten-year tradition in our community. The run starts at the Westwind Community Barn, runs through the Byrne Preserve and extends into the Los Altos Hills Pathways system. There;s also a 5K run/walk and a one-mile fun run, that start after the main race.

Where/When: , 3535 Truman Ave. Saturday, 12:00 to 5:00 p.m.

Why Go: Enjoy the music of our talented students from Mountain View High School, Los Altos High School and Graham Middle School. And if that's not enough, there will be some guest artists, too. But remember this is an outdoor music festival, so don't forget the blankets or beach chairs. Bring your younger kids so they can get inspiration.  The event is a fundraiser for the MVHS instrumental music program. And of course, all you high school and middle school students should be out there to support your classmates.

Pricing: Suggested donation; $10 adults, $5 students

Where/When: , 22500 Cristo Rey Dr, Wednesday and Friday at 9:30 am.

Why Go: This is a great way to work out with your baby and get to know other parents with young children, too.

Where/When: , 1 N San Antonio Rd., Friday, 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Why Go: If you are a teenager in Los Altos, you shouldn't miss the last teen dance of the school year.  The dance has a theme, but we aren't going to tell you about it here. Sign up for the dance to find out.
