SHOUT! the MOD MUSICAL

Follow five colorful and groovy gals as they come of age during those liberating days of the 60s that made England swing in SHOUT! THE MOD MUSICAL, a feel-good revue by musical theater geniuses Phillip George and David Lowenstein.  This nostalgic and uplifting musical previews September 1 and runs through October 1 on the Bus Barn Stage in Los Altos.

SHOUT! THE MOD MUSICAL takes you on a comic and cosmic musical journey through the infectious peppy pop tunes and soulful ballads of the 60s that made household names of stars like Petula Clark, Dusty Springfield and Lulu with such chart-topping hits as “To Sir With Love,” “Downtown,” “You Don’t have To Say You Love Me,” “Son of A Preacher Man,” and “Goldfinger.” This delightful juke-box musical flips through the decade, taking you back to the colorful and fun music, fashion, and freedom of the sweet 60s with hilarious period-era sound-bites and fads, from lonely heart letters and true confessions to quizzes and advertisements. You are guaranteed to leave the theater humming one of these beloved 60s pop classics!

Bus Barn Stage Company’s production of SHOUT! THE MOD MUSICAL is directed by Bus Barn Stage Company Artistic Director Barbara J. Cannon and features Angel Burgess as the Blue Girl, Helen Gruner as the Red Girl, Courtney Hatcher as the Yellow Girl, Danielle Najmeh as the Orange Girl, and Breigh Zack  as the Green Girl,  our “groovy” heroines. Musical direction is by Mark Hanson and “far-out” choreography is by Alex Acevedo.
