Fun and healthy community activities for adults age 50 and over

We invite you to join us for fun ways to energize you mind and body. These special events cover free and specially discounted classes and outings for people age 50 and over living in the San Francisco Bay Area.  The purpose is to have fun, be healthy, meet new people and learn more about your community. 

 

  • Explore astronomical enigmas with a special tour of the NASA Ames Exploration Center including the latest information on the Mars rover Curiosity
  • Discover local nature and history with a walking tour of Almaden Quicksilver County Park including the mining history and ruins and a social lunch
  • Experience Japanese culture and history with a visit to the oldest Japanese garden in the western hemisphere accompanied by a traditional tea ceremony and free lunch
  • Learn how to create a masterpiece with a pottery class that works your hands and mind
  • Prepare and savor culinary delights with a cooking class that teaches simple, healthy recipes
