Brad Paisley Concert to Increase Friday Rush Hour Traffic

The Metropolitan Transportation Commission warns motorists about congestion on highways 101 and 85 at Shoreline Boulevard in Mountain View.

Here's some advice—consider leaving work earlier this Friday.

Adding to the usual weekend traffic on Bay Area highways, country music star Brad Paisley performs at in Mountain View this Friday, July 27.

The Metropolitan Transportation Commission cautions motorists to expect heavy traffic on US-101 and CA-85, as well as the local streets.

And if you've ever been caught in traffic during a major event at the amphitheatre, you understand that it's better to plan ahead and avoid it.

Gates open at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30 p.m.

This means that even if you take the Rengstorff Avenue or San Antonio Road exits (this one can spill you over onto Bayshore Parkway), you could experience some delays getting to the venue.

Not going to the concert, but to the movies at , working outat , taking lessons at the or celebrating a birthday at instead?

Consider parking on the other side of US-101 and walking across the overpass. Could save you a lot of headache and actually get you to your movie on time.
