Your Time: Bocce Ball, High School Sports and More

Get our local high school fall sport teams off and running by cheering them on, partake in Tuesday Tea and music at Little House and roll out some bocce ball fun!

Where/When: 1280 Johnson Ave, San Jose, CA 95129. Thursday, 6:45 p.m. 

Why Go: Get our girls off to a great start with claps and cheers! Fresh off a strong 2010 season that resulted in a Central Coast Section playoff berth, the Eagles return to the court this week with a non-league tussle against Lynbrook High in San Jose. Senior captain Heather Sangster leads a talented group of Eagles into the 2011 campaign.

Where/When: Little House, 800 Middle Ave, Menlo Park, CA. Tuesday, 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. 

Why Go: Mr. C & ET is the in-house band the Glenwood Inn on the Peninsula. The band has been performing for seniors all across the Bay Area for over a decade, singing a variety of fun tunes that will bring you back in time. Stop by Little House this week and enjoy the show!

Pricing: $2 members and $3 for non-members. 

Where/When: Firefly Willows, 111 Main St., Los Altos. Friday, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Why Go: Become the person you want to be at Firefly Willows this week. The weekly program is a comprehensive, experiential therapy program completed in nine weeks. This intensive program enables you to release painful issues of childhood that have affected your adult life.

Where/When: Oak Grove High School, 285 Blossom Hill Rd, San Jose, CA 95123. Friday, 7 p.m. kickoff. 

Why Go: The St. Francis High football team kicks off the 2011 season with a big-time showdown against perennial Central Coast Section playoff performer, Oak Grove High in San Jose. The juicy week one matchup is a must-see for any football fan.

Where/When: , 97 Hillview Ave, Los Altos, CA 94022. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday's at 10 a.m. 

Why Go: The Los Altos Senior Center offers Bocce Ball programs for beginners and more advanced players on weekday mornings. Experienced players can enjoy some friendly competition against other seniors on Monday and Wednesday mornings, while beginners are invited to participate on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Join the Senior Center for some free fun!
