ViewFinder: Oklin Bloodworth Rocks the Park
No one brings down the house like this musician, who performs a concert just for the tiny set at Tunes Under the Trees in Grant Park.
Smiling from ear to ear, Oklin Bloodworth sings into the microphone, "The itsy bitsy monkey ..."
And in unison, the children scream back, "No!" He then invites the children around the stage to sing with him.
Thursday night was Bloodworth's second year performing at Tunes Under the Trees. He has also performed at the Egg Hunt at Hillview Soccer Field for the past several years. He is a one-man band armed with three guitars, a backing track and several stuffed animals.

Los Altos Recreation Coordinator Leea Guy says the children love him; which is immediately obvious by how children and parents alike respond to his energy. "He has a gift; even the parents are dancing," says Guy.
Bloodworth closed the generation gap with a few Beatles' classics, such as "Yesterday" and "Blackbird," in the middle of his set.
