Pop Up Party on the Plaza Planned for Punday (oops, Sunday)

Cross a pop-up restaurant with a flash mob and what do you get? Something close to the October Fest dinner gathering planned for Sunday, Oct. 16, about 5 p.m., on a still anonymous Los Altos Village plaza.

It's the brainchild of a group calling itself POP UP (People Organizing Parties Upon Plazas), which seems to have ties to — or at least the blessing of — the .

According to the group's announcement, you should "bring your own table, chairs and dinner or call your favorite restaurant for take-out, invite your friends and enjoy the company of your fellow Los Altoans." All ages are welcome.
