It's Girl Scout Cookie Season!

Where, in the Los Altos area, do you get your cookie fix, and more importantly, what's your favorite cookie?

There's just something about those boxes of cookies ...

Through March 18, you can use the Online Cookie Locator to zero in on locations you can pick up a box (or five) of your favorite cookies. Just type in your ZIP code here.

There's even a free app for your smartphone.

Unfortunately, Girl Scouts will NOT be at the library today, but please look for us on State Street next to Peet’s Coffee! We’ll also be across the street from Draeger’s at the American Legion Hall, and at Loyola Corners at the Bicycle Outfitters. Yum!

I will add them to the map on this story. Wow. State Street, American Legion Hall, and Bicycle Outfitters! Those are three more locations to find cookie goodness than in the Girl Scout Cookie locator (http://cookielocator.littlebrownie.com/)!

way back when i was in the webelos. i think the cookies taste good. at $4.00 per box i should just buy cookies at the 99 cent store. why not teach these youngsters frugality?

Mmmm....Thin Mints are the best!!

I believe the idea always was to sell cookies as fundraisers. Thus you purchase them at a higher price as a way to make a donation. Of course, I guess you could a) just give Girl Scouts a donation without the cookies or b) Pay the $4 and consider $0.99 as the fair market value and apply the $3.01 as charitable giving on your taxes (this editor is not a CPA, but it maybe a CPA will opine)!
