With a reported total of just 20 violent crimes per 100,000 people in 2012, the City of Los Altos ranks in seventh place for the "10 Safest Places In California," according to Movoto Real Estate.
Overall, the researchers looked at the most recent FBI crime statistics from 365 locations with populations over 10,000, and Los Altos came in low in these categories:
