Joe Eyre Named COO of Los Altos Community Foundation

Eyre's work in community-building, as well as strategic and operational experience, is expected to help lead success of next-generation programs

 

Joe Eyre, an active community volunteer, has been appointed Chief Operating Officer for the Los Altos Community Foundation.

Eyre formerly served as board member and treasurer for the Los Altos Educational Foundation. Additionally, he has over 20 years of high tech marketing management experience with several local companies.

"Joe Eyre has an unique combination of strategic and operational experience in both non-profits and corporations and along with his passion for community building, will play a key role in driving our programs forward," said Roy Lave executive director of LACF.  

"We are developing next-generation programs that will further enhance the community and we look forward to Joe's leadership in helping us be successful."

Eyre, has lived in Los Altos since 1994, is also a member of Los Altos Forward, a volunteer group promoting community vibrancy, and has led the monthly Downtown Los Altos First Friday events. He also is a Commissioner of the Environmental Commission for the City of Los Altos, a member of GreenTown Los Altos and an Eagle Scout Advisor for Los Altos Troop 37. 

"The residents and business owners of Los Altos and Los Altos Hills have incredible passion and appreciation for our unique community," Eyre said.

"This has been special for my family and as a member of the Los Altos Community Foundation I believe I can help build on the strengths of our community, across generations and cultures."
