Pets are a fundamental part of our lives. They live with us, they sleep with us and they eat with us. In return, they make us smile, they make us laugh and they make our lives complete.

I have an indoor cat and one of the most important things for me is making sure I select a high quality food that provides proper nutrition. Pet’s Delight sells several brands of all natural, organic food for dogs and cats as well as small animals and reptiles.

“Our goal is to provide and educate our customers on pet food’s ingredients so they can make a best choice for their companion,” said owner Tatiana.  

Two of the more interesting brands of pet food sold by Pet’s Delight are Origen and Fromm. Origen is an award winning, grain-free pet food made in Canada that uses free-run chicken and turkey, free-range red meats and fresh saltwater and freshwater fish. Fromm is an American made gourmet pet food made in Wisconsin, which offers three lines of pet food – Gold Nutritionals, Four Star and Fromm Classics.

Pet’s Delight also sells raw pet food, which is a good alternative for pets with allergies, digestion problems and irritable bowel syndrome. I also liked the assortment of treats and the decorated dog treats that looked good enough to eat. The store also recently started carrying organic chicken feed and mealworms after requests from customers.

The toy section of the store was like stepping into a toy store for pets. I really appreciated the variety and careful selection of toys for dogs, cats and small animals. While the store carries traditional dog toys like KONG, it also sells recycled and recyclable toys from West Paws and toys from Planet Dog, which has donated more than $500,000 since 2006 through its nonprofit organization Planet Dog Foundation. Many of the toys not only encourage pets to stay physically fit but also mentally fit.

My favorite item in Pet’s Delight that I think stood out to me the most was a round strawberry colored Sleepypod pet carrier. Unlike traditional rectangular pet carriers, the round shape allows pets to curl up and go right to sleep on the plush, faux fur lining. The top of the carrier zips completely off so pets can use the carrier as a bed. The most important feature of this carrier though is the safety feature. The Sleepypod meets the same safety ratings in place for child safety seats.
